Either way, we’re proud to make our debut on the 2023 GigaOm Radar Report for Data Warehouses. The report examines offerings from 14 data warehousing vendors, including long-established companies like IBM, Microsoft, and Google as well as innovators like Ocient.

GigaOm evaluated the companies using criteria like support for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, availability of managed services, support for multiple datatypes and workloads, collaboration features, and concurrency optimizations. The report also looks at each platform’s key features and capabilities, along with scalability and elasticity, ease of administration, and more.

Ocient made its entrance in the lower-right quadrant, where we’re identified as both a Fast Mover and a Challenger. In the accompanying writeup, GigaOm notes that Ocient’s Compute Adjacent Storage Architecture™, OcientML™, and OcientGeo represent important technological advancements that are particularly well-suited to large enterprises.
