Ocient’s paper, Beyond Big Data — The Ocient Hyperscale Data Warehouse, was presented at BTW 2025, the 21st specialist conference on Database Systems for Business, Technology, and Web, held March 3–7, 2025, in Bamberg, Germany, and organized under the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. database and information systems community.
The paper explains how Ocient is engineered for hyperscale analytics: querying, ingesting, and storing petabyte-scale datasets with high performance and energy efficiency.
It highlights Ocient’s Compute Adjacent Storage Architecture® (CASA), which places NVMe storage close to dedicated CPU resources to reduce data movement and maximize throughput.
