In 2025, Ocient leveled up.
With rapid growth, new funding, and groundbreaking innovation by our customers, the team had every reason to celebrate—and that’s exactly what we did October 6-7 at an all-company offsite in Chicago.
Over 100 Ocient employees from across the country gathered for the event themed “Game On.” It was more than a celebration; it was a reflection of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next.
Building Strategy and Connection in the Heart of Chicago
The offsite kicked off at TechNexus, an innovation hub in downtown Chicago, where our teams met in person for strategic departmental sessions. For many, it was the first opportunity in months to collaborate face-to-face, exchange ideas, and strengthen cross-functional relationships that fuel Ocient’s growth.
Leaders and teams alike used this time to align on goals, plan for the future, and reaffirm Ocient’s commitment to our values of being: customer-focused, efficiently effective, and collaborative in everything we do. These sessions always serve as a reminder that while technology drives us, it’s people, our customers and our colleagues, who inspire our mission.
The 5th Annual Ocient Olympics: Teamwork at The Forge
No Ocient offsite would be complete without a little friendly competition. At The Forge in Lemont, employees competed in the annual Ocient Olympics, a fun tradition that brings our values to life in the most spirited way possible.
From laser tag to fishing, teams put their leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to the test. The laughter, cheers, and teamwork on display captured the essence of Ocient’s culture, being inclusive, craft-driven, and built on trust and camaraderie.
Whether climbing obstacles or cheering from the sidelines, everyone brought their A-game. The day was a reminder that at Ocient, winning means working together. Congrats to Team Blue on the big victory!
Honoring Excellence: The Ocient Awards
One highlight of the week together was the Ocient Awards Show, hosted by CEO John Morris and Chairman Chris Gladwin. The event recognized team members who exemplify Ocient’s core values–leadership, trustworthiness and ethics, and excellence in innovation and execution.
As John and Chris reflected on Ocient’s journey, they shared gratitude for every employee’s contributions to our shared success. From pioneering new product capabilities to supporting global customers tackling complex data challenges, each story underscored the power of purpose-driven teamwork.

This year’s offsite wasn’t just a moment to pause—it was a launchpad for what comes next. With new fundraising secured in 2025, Ocient is accelerating its leadership in large-scale data analytics and stepping boldly into the world of AI.
