Where are you based and how do you take advantage of our remote first policy?
I am based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The remote-first policy significantly enhances my work-life balance, allowing me to allocate time for professional development by exploring new technologies. Additionally, it affords me the flexibility to engage in personal interests such as playing cricket and pursuing other activities. This balance contributes to my overall productivity and well-being.
How long have you been with Ocient?
I have been with Ocient for only 5 months. In this short time, I’ve already felt a significant boost in confidence and growth, thanks to the opportunities to explore and apply new technologies.
What’s the next place you’d like to check off your travel bucket list?
The next place I’d like to check off my travel bucket list is Thailand. I’m excited to explore its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and unique cuisine. Bali is also high on my list for its beautiful beaches and serene environment.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
I could not live without my mobile phone. It keeps me connected, provides access to my favorite songs, and ensures I stay online and engaged with the world.
What is one of your proudest career moments while working at Ocient?
One of my proudest moments at Ocient was developing a web application tailored to the company’s and clients’ needs within a short timeframe. The application received positive feedback from the client, who then signed a contract to use it. This achievement was a testament to the dedication and collaboration of my team.
Describe your growth journey at Ocient.
Though I have been with Ocient for just 5 months, my growth journey has been substantial. The experience has felt like gaining over 5 years’ worth of knowledge and skills due to the level of responsibility and freedom I’ve been given. This environment has allowed me to handle diverse challenges and work autonomously, significantly accelerating my professional development.
What advice would you give to someone entering the tech industry?
Focus on continuous learning, stay adaptable, and seek mentorship early on.
